So first of all, I owe you all an apology. I have been MIA for awhile and it was only because I lost my mojo for awhile. You see, I applied to be a designer at Scrap Orchard and didn’t make the cut. Needless to say, I was a bit sad about that…well really A LOT sad about it, but I am quite sure I was up against some really great talent! It was actually exciting just to have a shot. So I have taken a little break from scrapping. Although I do have a little freebie at the end of this post. In the meantime, I have become ADDICTED to stumbleupon which is this website that allows to stumble through other websites that match your interests. LOVE IT!! There’s also an Iphone app (as if I need another time sucking app on my phone!)
So here are some things I am working on now:
Mandipidy has this ADORABLE book page necklace.
I am almost done with mine. I bought the wrong size jump rings for the pearls I bought! So I’ll post pics soon and let you know how it turned out. I thought this would be such a great gift for our librarian at school (really its just for me, but I’m sure a librarian would love it! Super CUTE!!
Sarah Ortega has a great blog! It’s one of my favorites! She has a tutorial for fingerprint jewelry.
I have finished mine, but I wasn’t really impressed with how my first batch turned out so I am going to make another set. I want to turn one into a necklace for my MIL and the other into a keychain for father’s day. Oh, and I am going to, of course, make one for myself. But since I don’t wear necklaces all that much, I thought I’d make myself a charm bracelets.
And lastly (for now!), I am sure you have seen the rolled fabric flowers all over the internet. Well maybe you haven’t but trust me if you start looking you’ll find them EVERYWHERE! I found some cute ones with feathers at The Mother Huddle.
These were SUPER easy to make. I mean SUPER-DUPER easy! And the results are stunning! This is my kind of craft! I wasn’t sure how I was going to do with this one so I just purchased some remnant fabric at the store and got to rolling. Here’s how mine turned out.
I will so be making more of these for all the little (and bigger) girls in my family. I know our little princesses will love them. Especially with the feathers!
So now that I am getting my mojo back, you can expect some more digital scrapbooking goodies to come your way. In the meantime, you can download a pack of stitched alphas below. Hope you enjoy them!
