Thanksgiving is almost here and I found a fantastic pinterest post by Erin ever After.  I wanted something for the table to give it a little extra something.  So here is the photo from Erin…..

I absolutely LOVE the way they turned out. I pretty much followed her tutorial.  Obviously I changed my insides to have more of a fall look. A few notes: you can buy a box of mason jar lids at the store, but make sure you buy the right size ornaments to go with it.  I went with 3 1/4” ornaments and they don’t quite fit in my lids.  I should have bought the largest size (which I think was 4”) but I was afraid they would be too big on the table setting. I made it work with a little ring of hot glue on the bottom of the ornament to have it stand up straight.  Either way I LOVE THEM!!! If anyone ones, the tags I have a photoshop file I can send you.

Scrappity Doo Dah……

I just realized in all my crafting craze I haven’t posted any scrapbook pages lately! My summer in California really put my blogging on hold and then I just jumped right in to crafting!  So I have been working on a Christmas kit in blues and silver which I am very excited about.  I am having been sending my prayers up that we’ll see some snow here this winter.  I am a Florida girl after all. It’s not something I am used to seeing.  So in preparation I thought I’d do a snowy silver and blue kit.  I’ll keep ya posted!
And I just finished my August scrapbook pages.  I have been a little behind.  Actually it was done on purpose.  I wasn’t ready to face the August pictures and the great loss they contained.  But as with time (and lots of prayer), it made it much easier to scrap the memories. For those of you who don’t know our best friends Heather and Justin had a little baby boy, Max, on August 4th only to lose him a day later. He was born premature and just wasn’t ready for this world. It was such a blessing to be there for his birth and too see all the people who were touched by him and his short time on this earth.
Here are the pages I did:

As you can see he was perfect!
You’ll have to check back later for more goodies =)

Christmas Crafting has begun!!

This is for my sister-in-law and I have Bromeliad Living to thank for it!

Here are a few other shots of the necklace….if you can handle my amateur photography.

I used a wire gauze ribbon for these flowers and was pleasantly surprised how they turned out.  I did have to use a little more glue to hold them together but other than that I love the end result!
So until next time….

I’ve been a busy bee!

So if you haven’t heard of Pinterest I will warn you…… IT IS ADDICITIVE!  It’s like a virtual corkboard.  People pin things they like to their boards and then you can re-pin them to yours.  It’s like a sea of wonderful ideas organized!  So needless to say, I have been pinning like a crazy fiend!

I have come across some crazy beautiful ideas.  My goal this year is to make most of my presents for friends and family.  I have a lot of younger girls on my list so I decided to make some flower type hair decor.
I have seen these Yo-Yo flowers EVERYWHERE and they are adorable.  I actually bought a yo-yo maker at Hobby Lobby and it’s SUPER EASY! Plus they come out so cute.  I made a couple of Halloween ones and ones for Christmas gifts.

I also tried my hand at ribbon rosettes.  There are a ton of tutorials out there.  I particularly like the ones from Little Birdie Secrets. She makes some beautiful ones.  I am going to do some with beads on them next.  GORGEOUS!!!!

And finally I did some felt flowers using a tutorial from Mrs. Priss. Mine didn’t turn out as well as hers, but I like them nonetheless!

So as you can see you can find a gazillion things to craft your little heart out!  Now I need some ideas for the guys!  Why are they always the hardest ones to make something for???

Until next time,
Happy Scrapping and Crafting!

Crafting Goodness

So first of all, I owe you all an apology.  I have been MIA for awhile and it was only because I lost my mojo for awhile.  You see, I applied to be a designer at Scrap Orchard and didn’t make the cut.  Needless to say, I was a bit sad about that…well really A LOT sad about it, but I am quite sure I was up against some really great talent!  It was actually exciting just to have a shot.  So I have taken a little break from scrapping.  Although I do have a little freebie at the end of this post. In the meantime, I have become ADDICTED to stumbleupon which is this website that allows to stumble through other websites that match your interests.  LOVE IT!! There’s also an Iphone app (as if I need another time sucking app on my phone!)

So here are some things I am working on now:

Mandipidy has this ADORABLE book page necklace.

I am almost done with mine.  I bought the wrong size jump rings for the pearls I bought!  So I’ll post pics soon and let you know how it turned out.  I thought this would be such a great gift for our librarian at school (really its just for me, but I’m sure a librarian would love it! Super CUTE!!

Sarah Ortega has a great blog!  It’s one of my favorites!  She has a tutorial for fingerprint jewelry.

I have finished mine, but I wasn’t really impressed with how my first batch turned out so I am going to make another set.  I want to turn one into a necklace for my MIL and the other into a keychain for father’s day.  Oh, and I am going to, of course, make one for myself.  But since I don’t wear necklaces all that much, I thought I’d make myself a charm bracelets.

And lastly (for now!), I am sure you have seen the rolled fabric flowers all over the internet.  Well maybe you haven’t but trust me if you start looking you’ll find them EVERYWHERE!  I found some cute ones with feathers at The Mother Huddle.

None

These were SUPER easy to make.  I mean SUPER-DUPER easy!  And the results are stunning!  This is my kind of craft!  I wasn’t sure how I was going to do with this one so I just purchased some remnant fabric at the store and got to rolling. Here’s how mine turned out.

I will so be making more of these for all the little (and bigger) girls in my family. I know our little princesses will love them.  Especially with the feathers!

So now that I am getting my mojo back, you can expect some more digital scrapbooking goodies to come your way.  In the meantime, you can download a pack of stitched alphas below.  Hope you enjoy them!

New Kit Coming Soon!

Hello all!  I am slowly getting more time to design which has been GREAT!!  I have also gotten involved with my DD’s PTA and guess who gets the honor of designing the t-shirts! Yep Me!  Well hopefully anyhow.  I am not sure my program will save it in the proper format needed for the printer, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

I am really excited to be on the PTA.  I’ve meet a few of the moms so far and they all seem really great.  Plus, it’s a great way to learn about activities and happenings around town because mom’s know EVERYTHING!!

Okay, so now for what you really came here for!  The sneak peek!
